Late January, the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs legislative released a legislative proposal providing that labelling of ingredients is required on all food prepared on the premises in which it is sold.

The government launched a public consultation to gather opinions from food businesses and allergy patients on stricter labelling. The proposed options span from mandatory listing of all ingredients on a product to labelling allergens only and applying stickers.
